Winter made her first appearance

No, don't you worry, it is still summer here, but today winter was throwing its long shadow over me.

A parcel arrived, it has made all its way from Sweden. Leentje and Beekje were very curious what or who might be in it.

"A Pukipuki-box! It must be one of our siblings!" That was exciting. Would it be Greetje, the summer sprite, or Tetje, the winter sprite?

"It's stiffling there in. We should get her out as soon as possible."

"Together!"

"Hej-ho! Hej-ho!"

"One more time with all our might!"

"Ooooooops!" - "Ouch!"

"Oh, oh! Are you two alright?"

"Give me your hand, I'll help you up."

"Ah, that's better. Thank you so much!"

"Can you please help me, too? I bumped my head!" - "Don't worry, Leentje, we will lend you some hands."

"I can cool your head a bit, so you won't get a bruise where you bumped on the table."
So this is Tetje who made her journey to us. As a winter sprite her hands are always cool. Which came in handy today. Leetje was feeling much better soon so I could go and fetch Tetje's wig.

"Hello! Nice to meet you! My name is Tetje."
Nice to meet you, too, Tetje.

Summer is here!

Finally summer is here. At the end of June it is time for Kiel Week, and it was cold an rainy that week. But when the band Die Blindfische is playing their annual concert on the Kusenkoppel, we are there.

As usual the weather got warm after Kiel Week, and it didn't only get warm, it got hot. So off to the beach we went.

The girls were enjoying the sun and the sand.

Summer means having sand between your toes.

Sirpa was waving to the seagulls.

Inkeri relaxed and studied the blue sky.

Between the beach and the stones it is save to swim, further out the ships and sailboats are cruising.

Don't get a sunburn!

Aava wanted to set sails, too. She is far too seldom at the seaside, she thinks, as it is her natural habitat.

A trip into spring and a pillow fight

I just found that I didn't tell this story here! Oh myyy! Well, I'm going to do that now. It has been a while when we went on a trip into our beautiful Holsteinische Schweiz. My husband knew a place where a foxmother had her hole to raise her small ones. We wanted to see if they were still there.

We found the hole but the foxes had already left. I had Toivo with me, poor guy has been left home for soo long.

He enjoyed climbing and looking for wild, wild animals...

...like birds.

The views very really nice.

And there was much to be seen along the way.

We found a dragon!

This is Gut Rixdorf, quite typical for this part of the world.

Toivo did some more exploring and climbing and then we went home.
But, loo, what did we find, when we came back? There was giggling and shouting and laughing and a lot of noise to be heard from the bedroom.
The girls can obviously not behave without supervision...

"I won, Inkeri, I won!"

"No, I've got one pillow left!"

"I buried you in pillows!"

"Victory is mine, admit it!"

"Okay, okay, I admit, you won! But next time I'll win, be sure!"
Girls, what are you doing here? In the bedroom?

"Oh! Hi, Mom!"
