Fall Market in Molfsee

Every year our open-air museum in Molfsee has a fall market. With all kind of foods, decorations, handcrafted things, wool and so on and so on.
As it is too crowded on weekends we went today. This time it was Toivo's turn to follow with us.

This is directly at the entrance. Can you already see the pumpkins?

A lot of different pumpkins! The orange ones on the lower picture are australian ones originally.

Quinces! They smell delicious, but to cut them when still raw is very hard work. Quince jelly and quince bread are very yummy.

In one house they've got an exhibition about toys. They've got lots of old teddys. You see that lovely bear on the lower pic? I've got the same one! His name is Jakob. I hold him in my arms every single night.

Toivo was more interested in the boy's toys, of course.

But he agreed to get his picture taken in front of other dolls, most of them Schildkröt ones.

But the train set and the building blocks fascinated him far more.

Around the houses old farm gardens are planted. There was an old woman who took care of them. Whenever someone had a question she answered it. No one would have thought that she was over 80 years old! Sadly she passed away two or three years ago.

We went to look at some of the other houses as well.

One seller had marionette birds.

Another one sold running hens.

We had a bit of lunch, too.

After eating a bit we went to the carroussel. It's an old one and so much fun!

At last the sun broke through the clouds. This is the famous windmill.

Mushrooms! Toivo just had to watch out for a kobold, but he couldn't find one.
Then it was time to go back home.
