Once upon a time...
There was a young boy, 9 years old, who
lived in an orphanage. His name was Toivo. His live was sad there, he
was looked at but no one played with him. There were no toys, there
were no real friends to talk with. The children were not allowed to
sing or dance. But he had not his name for nothing. Toivo means
„hope“ and hope he never lost. Finally one day he was told, that
he would now be adopted. In the nights he wished for a family where
he would be loved. He longed for friendship and joy. It was almost
unbearable. What, if the new family would not like him? Or if he
would not like his new family?
Then the day came when he left. Being a
quiet nature anyway, he decided to stay closed until he knew that he
would be really welcomed at his new home.
That's how he came to me. I liked him
from the beginning. Poor guy didn't even have a faceup! So new eyes
and a face were given to him. And clothes. And toys.
Still he is a quiet boy, still keeping
some secrets about his past. Maybe he'll tell me more one day.
And then his secret desire for a
sibling was fullfilled.
Once upon a time...
There was a young girl, 5 years old,
who lived in a poor family. Her parents could no longer take care for
her, so she was given free to adoption. As a sorrowless creature,
Inkeri looked forward to new adventures. To leave her family was no
matter somehow. She doesn't speak too much of that time, seemingly
she has forgotten most of it.
She was excited to find that she had a
brother waiting eagerly for her. She loves him and her new mom. Being
a bit shy the first days, she found that she liked her new home. Now
new experiences lay ahead her every day. She loves Dollie, her
welcome present, and takes care of her as a good mother. She's got
new ideas every day, playing and climbing and enjoying live.
Once upon a time...
There are more to come. Toivo and
Inkeri both want a smaller sibling and it is felt that some magical
creature shall find it's way to us.
